My Story .... A Journey into Woodturning

From a background of arts and crafts, I decided to try my hand at wood turning in early 2015. Starting with bowls, I progressed to platters and lidded vessels, eventually evolving to combining wood turning and carving into one of a kind, specially crafted items.

Adorable SnowFamily with their tree. The family is turned from local reclaimed maple, hand painted, then dressed in their winter scarves. The tree is also from local wood .... Black Walnut .... hand turned on a lathe to its unique shape.

When a neighbors apple tree lost a few branches, I was able to gather up a few pieces and turned them into these fun, decorative mushrooms. Notice how the bark remains around the base for an even more natural look.
